Spiti Valley Tour from Chandigarh

Your journey begins between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM from Chandigarh Airport, where our representative will warmly welcome you and assist you with the departure towards Narkanda. En route, you will pass through Shimla, one of Himachal’s iconic hill stations, offering scenic mountain views and charming colonial charm.

After enjoying lunch, continue your scenic drive to Narkanda, known for its panoramic Himalayan vistas and serene surroundings.

On arrival, enjoy a delicious dinner and spend a peaceful night in Narkanda, surrounded by cool mountain air and beautiful landscapes.

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive towards Sangla Valley or Chitkul, one of the most picturesque regions in the Himalayas. Chitkul is also known as the last inhabited village near the Tibet border, making it a culturally and geographically unique destination.

The route is filled with towering mountains, pine forests, apple orchards, and the pristine Baspa River, offering incredible views throughout the journey. Upon arrival, settle in and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this enchanting valley. You will have ample time in the evening to stroll around the village or simply relax.

Savour your dinner and spend the night amidst the serene landscapes of Sangla Valley or Chitkul.

After breakfast, we will proceed toward Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Spend your morning exploring this picturesque Himalayan hamlet, including a peaceful walk along the Baspa River bank, where you can enjoy stunning landscapes and fresh mountain air. Visit the revered Mathi Temple, an ancient wooden temple that holds immense cultural and spiritual significance in the region.

Relish a hearty lunch at the iconic “Hindustan Ka Akhri Dhaba”, a must-stop experience located at the edge of civilization. After spending quality time exploring Chitkul, we will begin our drive towards Kalpa, a peaceful mountain village known for its apple orchards and traditional charm.

Upon arrival in Kalpa, witness breathtaking views of Mount Kailash and the Kinnaur Kailash range, which dominate the horizon and create an unforgettable alpine backdrop. You can also visit the dramatic Suicide Point, famous for its steep cliffs, thrilling viewpoints, and excellent photography spots.

End the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Kalpa.

Morning after breakfast we will proceed to Tabo village. We will cross the Khab (Convergence of Spiti and the Satluj Rivers) through Hindustan Tibet Highway. You will witness the Leo Purygal Peak  from the Khab Bridge. In the afternoon, after your lunch at Nako village, we will get into the Spiti Valley  by way of Sumdo.  

Now to see something interesting we will move towards the Geyu Village to see the 500 year old  Mummy and travellers enjoy this place a lot. In the evening we will reach Tabo village. There will be a homestay and it's a great chance to talk to  the people and have delicious homemade food in Spiti. 

After breakfast, we will explore the ancient Tabo Monastery, often referred to as the "Ajanta of Himachal Pradesh" for its extraordinary murals, intricate frescoes, and centuries-old sculptures. This monastery is one of the most historically significant sites in the Himalayan region and is still a vibrant center of Buddhist learning.

Later, we will proceed to Dhankar village, the former capital of Spiti Valley, dramatically perched on a rugged cliffside. Here, you will visit the iconic Dhankar Monastery, offering stunning views of the confluence of the Pin and Spiti Rivers. If time and fitness allow, travelers may trek to the serene Dhankar Lake, a hidden gem nestled amidst towering mountains.

By evening, we will reach Kaza, the administrative and cultural heart of Spiti Valley. Settle in, relax, and enjoy dinner at your stay after a fulfilling day of exploration.

Today, we have a full day of sightseeing in the high-altitude villages of Spiti.
After breakfast, we will drive to the world-famous Key Monastery, located just 12 km from Kaza. This centuries-old monastery is the largest in Spiti and offers breathtaking views of the valley.

Next, we will visit Hikkim Village, home to the World’s Highest Post Office and the World’s Highest Polling Station. You can even mail a postcard to yourself, a unique souvenir to remember your Spiti adventure.

From Hikkim, we will continue to Langza, known for the enormous Buddha Statue overlooking the mountains, one of the most iconic sights in Spiti Valley. Langza is also believed to be rich in fossils, making it a fascinating stop for nature enthusiasts.

Our final stop will be Komic Village, the world’s highest motorable village at 15,027 ft. Visit the ancient Tangyud Monastery, designed like a fortified castle with thick slanted walls and battlements, a remarkable example of Spitian architecture.

By evening, we will return to Kaza, where you can relax and enjoy dinner after an eventful day. Overnight stay in Kaza.

After breakfast, we will begin our journey towards the mesmerising Chandratal Lake, travelling through some of the most scenic stretches of Spiti. On the way, we will cross the charming village of Losar and drive over the world-famous Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge known for its spectacular canyon views.

We will then ascend to Kunzum Pass, one of the most iconic passes of the region, offering panoramic views of the Chandra-Bhaga mountain range. Kunzum Pass is also considered a sacred gateway to both Lahaul and Spiti, and travellers traditionally stop to seek blessings before crossing.

Upon arrival at Chandratal Lake, situated at a breathtaking altitude of 14,000 ft, you will have time to rest and acclimatise. The weather here can get extremely cold, so warm clothing is highly recommended. Spend time soaking in the stunning views of the crystal-clear crescent-shaped lake, surrounded by towering peaks.

Later, we will move to our comfortable campsite, located 2.5 km from the lake, where you can enjoy dinner, stargazing, and a peaceful night under the open sky.Overnight stay in Chandratal Lake camps.

After breakfast, we will begin our return journey towards Manali, driving through some of the most rugged and scenic stretches of the Spiti Valley. On the way, we will cross the remote and dramatic landscapes of Batal, Chhatru, and Gramphu, offering spectacular views of glaciers, waterfalls, and rocky mountain terrains.

From Gramphu, we will continue our drive via the iconic Atal Tunnel (Rohtang), one of the longest high-altitude road tunnels in the world, dramatically reducing travel time and offering a smooth transition from the barren mountains of Spiti to the lush green valleys of Manali.

By evening, we will reach Manali, where you will be dropped off near Volvo bus stand. Later at night, you will board a comfortable Volvo bus from Manali to Delhi, marking the end of your unforgettable Spiti Full Circuit journey. Overnight Volvo bus journey to Delhi.

This morning, you will arrive in Delhi between 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable Spiti Valley Full Circuit Tour.
